Eyes Have Not Seen, Ears Have Not Heard

“Eyes have not seen, ears have not heard.  No mind has ever imagined what God has prepared for those who love HIm.”  What a great promise!  I have encountered this verse several times in the past, but it never had so much impact to me as it did now.  If you try to digest the words, it is just so amazing.    I’ve read and watched movies like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Narnia, etc.  I am in awe with the imagination of the authors and the people behind these films to make the characters in the book come alive onscreen.  Such brilliant imagination!  Yet none of these can compare to what God has prepared for us.  What He has in store for us no human mind can ever imagine.  No eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard.  What a great God we have.

  2. Yes. I guess, it pertains to heaven. Miracles people experience may also be included in this. What do you think?

  3. I think it may apply to both in the present world and future heaven..

  4. I believe that it is talking about heaven and also Miricles in people life. You know he is a awesome God.

  5. Well lets quote this verse correctly for starters:-

    1 Cor. 2:9

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

This ol’e world with all its problems and cares are fast becoming a very un-riendly place for those who love the LORD………..People should not strive to build their future on this place called world, but should build their future on the place the Lord said he has prepared See John 14:1-3
Not any place in this world can compare to the lovely place the Lord has prepared.
    ITS THERE THINK ABOUT IT………….

  6. oh what a home it will be

    • PARADISE, ONLY WORD

  7. it can indeed be both present and future in the lives of those who love Him

  8. “But by the Holy Spirit He has revealed these things to us”
It starts in heaven, but ends here on earth. Recall that the Master instructed us to pray that His Kingdom come on earth!

  9. Actually, it’s not referring to things present or future, but things in the past (at least from our perspective). The verse is a quote from the Old Testament in which the prophet is looking forward to the coming of Israel’s Messiah. When Paul quotes the verse in 1 Corinthians, the prophecy has been fulfilled, which is why Paul goes on to say, “but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit.” Eye had not seen and ear had not heard because the Messiah came in such an unexpected fashion and died on a cross. zelya’s original post was correct in that no one would have imagined God doing such a thing as redeeming mankind by sending His Son to die for man’s sin, but He did just that.

For anyone interested, I’ve written a longer blog post about it here. I hope you find it helpful: http://hardpursuits.com/posts/eye-has-not-seen-or-has-it/

  10. God can bless you in the past, the present and the future. All you need is believe.Have faith in him.He is more than able to transform your life from glory to glory. He who didn’t spare his one and only son how will he not also give you all things in him?
He has done it for me,he can do it for you.Do you believe it?

  11. as believers God has already blessed us who walk in the spirit and not in the flesh. Keep on walking by faith and not by sight.
